Hey everybody!
If you look up to the top of the screen where the URL is, you'll see a new little PC right beside it! I figured out why the old one disapperaed. Ahem. I accidentally deleted the public_html of our host. Sorrrryyyy! My bad 
I made a new one, and it's pink, and it says PC. YAYAYAYAY!  *feels proud* |

Well, I'm sure we can all agree that without Ora, Pandora's Closet would be a completely different place!
She's super active, friendly and just a true gem. She's always ready to help out
and took on her job as a challenge mod as if she were born for it
Oh, and did you see her graphics? Not only is she such an active, friendly girl
but she's also got an absolutely gorgeous gallery and has developed
a distinctive, beautiful style during her stay at PC.
I'm sure I speak on behalf of the entire board when I say that
we're proud to call you our Best Member of 2009 and that you completely deserve this award.
Don't go anywhere and keep being awesome! CONGRATS!!

I have to say that I was not surprised at all when I saw the results of our Best Artist of 2009 poll.
How could it be anyone else! This girl worked so hard for her rank, always enters challenges and
has become an important source of inspiration for every artist on this board.
Who hasn't stalked her gallery and secretly cursed her for having absolutely mad graphic skills?
I know I have! Girl, you've got such an amazing style and somehow,
every graphic you make turns into something absolutely stunning!
Lizzie, even though we're probably all jealous of your sick skills,
we love you and I can honestly say that you absolutely deserve this award.
Everyone congratulate our beautiful Artist of 2009!

| Gallery Cleanout! |

A new year, so time for PC to get a little cleaning, some scrubbing behind the ears. But this time, the clean-out will not include codes or anything complicated.
All you have to do is make sure that your gallery has been updated since October 31st.
For members, please remember to make clear IN YOUR TOPIC when you last updated! That will help a lot. 
That is a long time, but should be enough for even those artists on hiatus to get by. If you are on hiatus, have not updated since before October 31st, and you want your gallery to be left as is, then make sure you put HIATUS in the title/description of your gallery.
The cleanout will officially begin on January 15th!
Before this time, The Warehouse will be emptied completely. So, if your gallery is in there, get it out! Or wait and just post a new one. |

| New awards system! |

As some of you lovely PC members might have already noticed, it's the 10th of December...and there are no awards posted yet! 
Now, there is a good and proper reason for this (and no, we're not just lazy slackers ), but we've actually decided to make the awards bi-monthly. This is mainly due to the fact that Edelweiss and I are having more and more trouble picking out winners for the awards each month. Usually, we have at least 10 candidates for one award but then no one we could think of for another award category. And this is not because our members aren't all super awesome, but because Eva and I simply haven't got our eyes everywhere on the board.
That's why awards are now bi-monthly! This way, we can keep an eye out for lovely award deserving members over the course of two months, which will give us muuuch more time to choose our winners wisely. We've also thought about some new and totally different awards which could be passed out monthly, so keep an eye out for that

Hey look! It's yet another admin announcement! Hold in your excitement, folks! But seriously, this announcement rules. It's my pleasure to announce the grand fantastic opening of MONTHLY MAYHEM CHALLENGES!  Heh? What are those? Go here to find out! In brief, they're a new form of challenge. Kind of like if the Group Battles got together with the Open Challenges and they fell in love and had a baby, and their baby was awesome and had superpowers. You compete only against people in similar artist groups as yourself, and each challenge requires several graphics (except you submit them in one go, not in rounds like in Group Battles). In summary... THEY ARE THE COOLEST THING TO HAPPEN SINCE EVER AND YOU SHOULD GO ENTER THEM BECAUSE ALL THE COOL KIDS ARE DOING IT, AND I KNOW YOU WANNA BE COOL TOO. Hi!
This is a special announcement just for those in the Member group here on PC!
We have a brand new forum just for people in the Member group. It's a place to hang out, get to know other Members, and basically get comfortable at PC before interacting with the big scary artist people
Check out the Members' Clubhouse! It's new so it's kind of empty right now, but please, PLEASE feel free to start spamming it up starting conversations! Go ahead and post new threads or reply to existing ones! Don't be shy! Members (and staff) are the only ones who can access this area, so it's all yours to play with!
(Artists - I know, I know, "but I wanna see the fooooorum!" Do not fret, my children You have your own group forums to play in!)

| Problem with New User Group |

It's come to my attention that there's a little bit of a problem with our 'Learning Stencilling' user group. We've got quite a few (read: a couple of thousand ) members who have gotten stuck in the works.
I'll explain what happens and why it's set up to happen that way:
When you first sign up, you're put into the Learner Stenciller group which has limited posting access and only a few forums to look at. Members are automatically promoted from that user group into the 'Stenciller' group (the normal member group) and given full posting/pm/user control rights once they've posted once.
The majority of times that system works fine, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a new member posts and their post count isn't transferred through to a promotion into the Member user group, so they get stuck in validating-limbo-land. The forum software doesn't KNOW to promote these people up to the next group at more than 1 post. So if they have 2 or 3 or 14, they're stuck in that little area with a very limited board view.
I've gone through and bumped some of those users up, BUT there's like... 100+ pages of names to go through and my clicky finger has its limits. read more |

COZ IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW, WE'RE SO AWESOME WE HAVE OUR OWN SOCIAL NETWORKING SITEheck yes we do. our board is very social, and we want to REALLY turn that up a notch, which we did by adding this awesome social networking site to our repetoire. I swear to god, it's addicting and SO FREAKIN CUTE. you can add videos and pictures and blogs and discussions, and we just want you to GO HAVE FUN. it's what we're all about lovelies. ^_____^ the site's been open to staff and mods for a few weeks now, just to make sure it was a good idea and not sekritly lame as, but it's really taken off and everyone seemed to like it, so now it's available for everyone to PLAY IN! go have a geeze at it and see what you think. if you DO decide to sign up, please don't use full names! we're still on the internet after all, and stalkers be about.  -shifty- and let's try not to laugh at my piccymature, mmk? affiliates
a while back we had an affiliate clean out that drastically reduced our affiliate numbers. shortly I'll be going through our current affiliates again just to check if they're all still active and have our buttons displayed, and removing any that shouldn't be up there. we're going to be doing this regularly from now on (probably on a monthly basis or as spare time allows), because no one wants to go clicking on interesting buttons and finding 404 errors on the other end, it's yucky. ^_____^
so, we're opening up affiliate requests again! FWEE!
if you'd like to affiliate with us there are a few guidelines.- you must be an active member of pandora's closet
- you must have over 50 posts
- your button must be EXACTLY 88 x 31 pixels in size (no more, no less)
- our button must already be displayed and easy to see on your site when you apply
