Tears forming at the corners of her eyes, "You can't... You can't do this, Abraxas. What about everything that we've done together? What about the Truce?" The silent street was violated with the crack of a slammed door that met the woman's sobs.
Amarante Potter and Abraxas Avery. The couple that ended century old prejudice.
In 2145 the wizarding community finally had enough. The feud must be ended. At least that was the majority of the vote. They needed a break, the constant bickering between themselves had to stop. The answer was a bond between the two main groups, a bond that couldn't be broken. The Potters and the Averys. They didn't love each other, they didn't like each other, and they didn't necessarily accept each other but they bit their tongue and did it. Abraxas because his father told him to, and Amarante because it was for the good of the world. They were married young, each of them only nineteen, they gave away their youth.
It worked. The world was at peace. There was no official treaty, but there was a truce between the different opinions. If two people, who were brought up to dislike each other, could marry each other there must be hope for the rest of the country. Things changed, people changed, the world was right. The marriage lasted fifteen years. Fifteen glorious years, a sort of golden age.
And then the divorce came. Of course other couples had gotten married, but the Potter/Avery marriage was the foundation of peace. There was a calm though, a period of contemplation before the storm hit. From 2160 to 2170 there were only little outbursts here and there, nothing extreme. But little did they know that behind closed doors troops were being called and plans were being made.
An all out war began in 2171, there were the Purists who were trying to defend their name after the embarrassment that was the Potter/Avery marriage. The Reformists were defending their beliefs, if the Purists ever won they would be practically sold into slavery and they new it. The Ministry was trying it's best to separate the two, but not succeeding.
Recently it's been found out that the Grenier family of Paris, France took interest in the war. It's unknown as of now what their intentions are but they seem to be favoring the Purist alliance. A new minister of magic will be announced later in the year and this is supposed to be a big step forward for the Ministry. London is in a state of chaos as of now, the outcome of it's fate is frightening and unknown.

THERE HAS RECENTLY BEEN SOME DEPARTMENT HEAD CHANGES IN THE MINISTRY. MS. ORLANNA SLOPER, TWENTY-SIX, WAS JUST DISMISSED AS THE HEAD OF THE REGULATION AND CONTROL OF MAGICAL CREATURES DEPARTMENT. THE SUCCESSOR? VERA SERGEYEV. SHE WAS MS. SLOPER’S ASSISTANT BEFORE BEING PROMOTED. THIS HAS CREATED A RECENT UPROAR WITH SOME OF THE OTHER MINISTRY HEADS. TO BE SPECIFIC: SLOPER’S COUSIN, CURAN SLOPER. AS MOST PEOPLE KNOW, THE PURIST FACTION DO NOT BELIEVE IN MARRYING WEREWOLVES. THE MACNAIR BOYS APPARENTLY THINK THAT THE GRENIER’S SHOULD FOLLOW THEIR EXAMPLE. THE PURIST’S LEADER, ARCTURUS LESTRAGE, AND HIS SECOND-IN-COMMAND’S, NATHANIEL MALFOY, RELATIONSHIP SEEMS TO BE BREAKING APART. IT WAS REPORTED THAT THERE WAS A SCENE AT THE GENTLEMAN’S CLUB, LES CADEAUX, BETWEEN THE TWO. SOURCES SAY THAT THE TWO ARE BUTTING HEADS, NATHANIEL THINK THAT HE SHOULD BE PUT IN CHARGE AND ARCTURUS IS NOT HAVING IT. AS MOST KNOW, THEY ARE RELATED AND THIS COULD CAUSE AN UGLY RIFT BETWEEN THE PURIST FACTION. IN ADDITION TO THIS RIDGITY BETWEEN THE TWO MR. CAESER BLACK IS ALSO SPARKING SOME INTEREST. THE PURIST’S LEADER, ARCTURUS LESTRAGE, AND HIS SECOND-IN-COMMAND’S, NATHANIEL MALFOY, RELATIONSHIP SEEMS TO BE BREAKING APART. IT WAS REPORTED THAT THERE WAS A SCENE AT THE GENTLEMAN’S CLUB, LES CADEAUX, BETWEEN THE TWO. SOURCES SAY THAT THE TWO ARE BUTTING HEADS, NATHANIEL THINK THAT HE SHOULD BE PUT IN CHARGE AND ARCTURUS IS NOT HAVING IT. AS MOST KNOW, THEY ARE RELATED AND THIS COULD CAUSE AN UGLY RIFT BETWEEN THE PURIST FACTION. IN ADDITION TO THIS RIDGITY BETWEEN THE TWO MR. CAESER BLACK IS ALSO SPARKING SOME INTEREST. HE SEEMS TO BE A LIGHTENING ROD BETWEEN THE TWO LEADERS, ALWAYS QUICK TO BRING UP CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES THAT THE TWO DON’T NECESSARILY BELIEVE IN. BESIDES THEY’RE DISAGREEMENTS ON SOME OF THE ISSUES THERE IS ANOTHER POSSIBILITY. A WOMAN. TO BE SPECIFIC DANIELA SERENE CONCEIÇÃO, A GRENIER LOYALIST. BOTH OF THE LEADERS (ARCTURUS AND NATHANIEL) ARE MARRIED, HOWEVER THEY BOTH ALSO SEEM TO HAVE A GRAND TIME IN ENTERTAINING MS. CONCEIÇÃO. WHO HAS SHE BEEN SEEN AROUND OTHER THEN THE TWO PURIST HEADS? CAESER BLACK. WHO’S TO SAY WHAT THE GIRL’S REAL INTENTIONS ARE? OFFICIALLY SHE WAS SENT BY HER FATHER TO ACT AS SOMEWHAT OF A LIAISON TO THE PURISTS. ANOTHER TAKE ON MS. CONCEIÇÃO, BOISSIEU AND GRENIER HAVEN’T BEEN ON GOOD TERMS AS OF LATE BECAUSE OF THE UNMARRIED PREGNANCY OF MADALENA CONCEIÇÃO AND JACQUES BOISSIEU. WHATEVER THE REASON, THE EFFECT OF MS. CONCEIÇÃO’S GACE AND CHARM CAN ON THE TWO PURIST’’S CAN BE VIVIDLY SEEN.

IT WASN’T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LIKE THAT. THEY’D LAID OUT A PLAN AND HAD GONE OVER IT A HUNDRED TIMES BEFORE HAND. CONNOR AND ELIAS WERE GOING TO GO IN, SET THE BOMBS, AND GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE BEFORE THE PLACE EXPLODED. IT WAS FOOLPROOF! BUT THEN ELIAS HAD TO GET ALL FANCY DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE OPERATION. CONNOR FINALLY GAVE UP AND WAITED A BLOCK AWAY, BUT HE NEVER SAW ELIAS AGAIN. IT SEEMED THE DETONATOR DETONATED BEFORE ELIAS GOT OUT. MAYBE SOMETHING WENT WRONG WITH THE DETONATOR OR MAYBE ELIAS JUST LOST TRACK OF THE TIME REMAINING. SURE, THE BOMB MANAGED TO TAKE THE LIVES OF A FEW ALLEGEDLY IMPORTANT MEN, BUT THE VICTORY WAS OVERSHADOWED BY THE DEATH OF ONE OF THE LOYALIST REFORMIST. MAYBE ELIAS COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY FORGOTTEN HAD HE BEEN A BACHELOR, BUT HE HAD A WIFE AND A FAMILY. HE HAD THREE GIRLS AWAITING HIS ARRIVAL HOME EVERYNIGHT, BUT THEY WOULD NEVER SEE THEIR BELOVED HUSBAND/FATHER AGAIN. VENEZIA, ALSO AN IMPORTANT MEMBER TO THE REFORMIST MOVEMENT, WAS ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED BY THE NEWS. SHE AND ELIAS HAD BEEN GOING THROUGH A FEW ROCKY TIMES LATELY, BUT SHE HAD LOVED HIM WITH HER ENTIRE HEART. VENEZIA, IN HER ANGER, RIPPED INTO CONNOR WITH HER ACQUISITIONS THAT HE HADN’T DONE ENOUGH TO PREVENT ELIAS’S DEATH. NOW CONNOR, THE GREAT LEADER OF THE REFORMISTS, HAS THE GUILT OF A FRIEND’S DEATH ON HIS SHOULDERS AND THE ACCUSING GLARE OF SAID FRIEND’S WIFE WIDOW BORING INTO HIS BACK. THINGS ARE STARTING TO GET A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE IN THE REFORMIST GROUP.
